A Brief Introduction to 'The Diary of a Young Girl'

'The Diary of a Young Girl' is a captivating account of journal entries recorded by the famous teen diarist and holocaust victim Annelies Marie Frank, popularly known as Anne Frank. The diary dates from 1942-44 which covers her 25 months in hiding with her family in a shelter which they named as the 'Secret Annex'. The secret diary was retrieved and kept by Miep Gies, a confidante of the Franks after their arrest. Later, she revest it to Anne's father Mr. Otto Frank, the sole survivor of the family who published it in 1947.
